Machinist Grinder Theory (I & II Year) is a Hindi medium ITI trade theory book for Machinist Grinder trainees, prepared for the NSQF Level-4 course. Written by Santosh Chauhan, the book covers the trade theory of both years in 25 chapters. It begins with trade introduction, occupational safety and health, measuring and marking instruments, striking and holding tools, cutting tools, metals, gauges and precision instruments, heat treatment, screw threads and the lathe machine. The grinding chapters then take trainees from the basics of grinding through cylindrical grinding (in three parts), tool and cutter grinding, surface grinding, and the causes and correction of common grinding errors. Limits, fits and tolerances, surface finish, lubricants and coolants, maintenance, CNC machines, documentation, and lapping and honing complete the syllabus.
