Youngsters are queuing up for admission at the World Class skill Centre and not without reason. With a 100% placement record this year, the government-run skill development Centre is on its next mission — Triple 12: the institute will train Class XII passouts for 12 months to help them earn Rs 12 lakh per annum.
Deepening collaboration on skill development, India and Germany today signed an agreement that aims to foster conditions that will help create and improve workplace-based vocational training in India's industrial clusters. Under the pact, German technical assistance will be used to enhance industry institute partnerships between Indian and German organizations, build capacity of local training institutions and foster industry linkages which will help adapt elements of the German dual system into the Indian context.
With an aim to bridge the skill gap in workforce, Industrial Training Institute (ITI) is planning to introduce new courses and modernize the old ones. These courses are expected to provide better job opportunities and increase availability of skilled employees for local industries.
The training institutes are planning to introduce new and short-term courses on hospitality, hotel management, tourism, computer designing, solar, LED lightening and mobile repairing courses among several basic-level artisan courses.
